A public celebration was held to recognize the donation of a new, fuel efficient Ford Transit Connect vehicle by the Meals on Wheels Association of America. This home delivered meal van will greatly enhance the Golden Age Centers ability to cost effectively deliver an average of 750 nutritious meals daily to homebound, often low income seniors, in Cleveland.
A partnership with the Cleveland Foodbank, through the newly implemented Commodity Supplemental Food Program, will provide an average of 500 boxes of shelf stable nutritious food monthly to homebound and low income seniors in our community. We are proud to be a partner in this pilot program in Cuyahoga County.
