The Golden Age Centers of Greater Cleveland (GAC) has established The Golden Achievement Awards to honor individuals of mature years for significant contribution to the quality of life in our community. In every case, the recipient's commitment to excellence is directed beyond self-interest and serves as an exemplary model for others to follow. Honorees are selected annually in the following categories: Business, Community Service, Education, Gerontology, Medicine and The Arts.

The 18th annual 2010 Golden Achievement Awards Dinner, honoring the accomplishments of distinguished Clevelanders, was held May 2nd at the Country Club, Pepper Pike. Over $60,000 was raised for the Golden Age Centers home delivered meal program, which provides an average of 280,000 hot nutritious meals annually to homebound seniors in our community - perhaps the largest program of its type in the Cleveland area.
