We believe that food and shelter go a long way to support the health and independence of seniors, but merely scratch the surface of the “basic needs” required for all human beings to thrive and enjoy life. Through our Stand Alone Centers, we are able to offer regular physical activity, adequate nutrition, and the opportunity for both mental and social interaction. These Centers are an integral part of our mission at work, and for the 1,300 persons who attend them, they are places to eat a hot lunch, have fun, make friends and try something new. Simply put: They are a place where you can belong.
While all Stand Alone Centers focus on the three pillars of health and wellness with programs and services focusing on Wellness, Lifelong Learning, and Arts and Culture, each Center provides experiences and activities that are unique to their location.
All Golden Age community centers are listed to the right.
