At GAC, our commitment to the needs of lower income seniors has never been stronger. Serving older adults residing in supportive housing apartments operated by the Cuyahoga County Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) has been part of our mission since our founding in 1954.
Through our partnerships with CMHA and Eliza Bryant Village, we are able to offer center activities and services within the buildings where seniors live, to include: congregate and home delivered meal programs, recreation and socialization activities and supportive assistance with issues impacting the lives of seniors through a credentialed Social Worker.
In addition to the programs and services mentioned above, we are committed to helping residents venture outside of their building to experience what makes Cleveland a great place to age-in-place. To do so, we sponsor regular trips from these facilities to recreation centers, shopping areas, restaurants and other points of interest.
